The Gospel is an important part of the teaching at Pilgrim Lutheran School. In addition to regular scripture, memory, and religion curiculum, children receive an opportunity to attend Chapel once a week. A Christ-like attitude, giving freely of our time and talents, as well as respect and responsiblities are emphasised through all of our daily routines in and around the school. Pilgrim Lutheran School adheres strictly to the beliefs and practices of Pilgrim Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
We believe the Holy Bible to be the verbally inspired Word of God and sufficient in all matters of faith and life. For in the Bible there is revealed to us the Triune God, the Father our Creator, the Son our Savior, the Holy Spirit our Sancitifier. Here in the Bible God gives direction for our life in the Ten Commandments. He teaches us how to pray in the Lord's Prayer. He assures us in Holy Baptism that he who believes in Christ and is baptized shall be saved. He tells us in Holy Communion Christ gives us His body and blood under the forms of bread and wine for the forgiveness of our sins and the strengthening of our faith. We are made right with God through faith in Jesus Christ and now look forward to eternal life with Him in heaven.
